Hey all! 2 days in a row?! This can’t be! Anyways, yes it is and I’m back to blog and keep you guys in the know. First off, for those of you who don’t know, I blog on ESPN as well as here and I’ve decided to really take it to another level with both… well day one of my renewed effort to blog over there left me featured on their Sportsnation page! Pretty sweet eh!! You can check out my ESPN Blog here!! I was stoked when I logged in today to check it out and say it had been featured… really exciting! those of you who know me know my passion is to be involved in sports media, so this is just the kind of encouragement I need to press myself to continue to improve myself and stick with it!

Back to the rest of the story (lol) the Bruins decided to avoid the whole messy Game 7 thing in Buffalo by defeating the Sabres last night 4-3. It was a wild game, full of hits, great saves and amazing shots, but in the end Boston was the better team for the majority of the game and deserved the win they got. To say I was excited is an understatement, and I’m READY for the next chapter of this playoff season for the B’s.

I head to the doctors today to see if I can go back to work, and it looks like I will be heading back as I’ve made good progress this past week. I’m thankful, because I’m quite bored with not much to do now, and it will be good to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully there’s still a spot for me at the euchre table and I can get some games in… :P

Last thing that’s pressing my head today is my grandmother. She fell last week and broke her foot, and it has me troubled. My grandma is 89, and my papa turns 95 tomorrow, and they still live on their own in their house… but it looks like that is going to change. My mother and I will be heading over there to talk about them moving to someplace smaller and easier for them to get around with this week, and that will take a lot of stress off my head.

Time to catch up!

Well well, it’s been awhile, FARRR TOOO LONG! But I’m back and ready to go! First off, I’ve made some changes in my life.. haha I guess that’s an understatement really.. but I got engaged! For those of you who know me well, you are probably rubbing your eyes to make sure that you just read that right, but yes, I did get engaged. No Really, I did. Andrea and I am going to get married! No date is set as of this post, but one will probably be set within the next week so updates to come on that. I’m pretty excited… like REALLY excited! I can’t wait to help plan and get ready for the big day, and of course the day itself will be pretty awesome! Nothing is better than drinking and receiving free money all day long :) But seriously, I love her so very much and nothing would make me happier than sending the rest of my life with her :) I could talk about this all day but…

On to the Bruins! They hold a 3 games to 2 lead over the Buffalo Sabre’s right now in the best of 7 series. We went to a game in Buffalo a week ago when they won 5-3 and it was good fun! Well… most of it was good fun.. after the game a couple of drunk Buffalo fans gave my gf fiance a hard time about her jersey and one thing led to another and before I knew it, I was standing face to face with some 6′5″ guy about to swing… thankfully, all 5′0″ of Andrea stepped in to take out the overgrown monster of a drunk and retarded Buffalo fan. Classy though that2 guys attacked myself and Andrea, shows the world class of Buffalo!

Well, good game? Now lets go beat girls in the parking lot.

As for the gaming world,I’ve made a few “hard” (not really) decisions about this recently. As I start to see the amount of time I can devote to “free time” decrease, I start to value that time more and want to do things with it that are constructive. My passion for video games has gone down over the years, and while I still enjoy playing the, I only do all the extra things (admin the game, radio shows) to kill free time. As my free time is more valuable now, I don’t see myself having time to do these things anymore, so I’ve decided to stop doing them! Makes sense right?

I have decided to spend my free time doing something I do enjoy, and that’s blogging, not just here but about sports as well. I’m a HUGE sports nut, and I’ve always wanted to do something with sports, growing up I wanted to be a sports broadcaster… Gary Thorne, Mike Emrick, Don Cherry… all these guys were boyhood idols growing up. I have no greater passion in life, and no more thrill than sports and broadcasting! So I will get myself re-set back up on ESPN and link the blogs here, at least to start. It should be good times!

FID Radio, Alice, Droid, Tuuka and LIFE BABY!

A lot going on and it’s time to update the masses! What’s goin on world :) First off, I PROMISE to update this more, once a week is clearly not enough! I will update this at least 3-4 times a week from here on out and if I don’t you can come to my house and.. well.. nevermind :o

On to the FUN STUFF!

First up, FID Radio kicks off today! Andrea and I went to see Alice last night in 3D and while I wasn’t knocked off my rocker, it was still a pretty solid movie. The 3D def made it better to see for sure, and now I cannot WAIT to see Clash of the Titans in 3D.. THAT is going to be HOT! I guess for me Alice was just an OK movie, I didn’t hate it, I did enjoy it, but it didn’t make me go WHOA or anything, maybe because it’s based on a 50 year old cartoon.. I don’t know. Anyways, Disney is pretty damn smart, they are making a lot of residual income by taking old movies and re-hashing them into the 21st century, or is it simply that other than Pixar, Disney has nothing creative left?

Moving along from that, I’m in desperate need of a new phone. Any users, or more likely former users, of the env2 from verizon know what I’m going through, buttons that don’t work, a phone that just shuts itself off, and the urge to throw my shit out the goddamn window of a 747 daily. Either way, it’s time for a new phone, and while I’d like to believe the iPhone 4G is coming to Verizon, I don’t think it’s going to happen. So now I think I will end up with a droid, but the question is, is it a good phone? Some of you must surely have one, please comment and let me know!

For those of you who don’t know, I’m a HUGE sports fan… growing up, all I wanted to be was a sportscaster.. hence why I ended up getting into Video Game Broadcasting. It’s always been a huge passion, watching and following sports, and right now it’s a very important time in a Hockey fans life as the Stanley Cup Playoffs loom. My team, the Boston Bruins, is on the cusp of getting the 8th and final playoff spot, a far cry from a season ago when they were the best team in the conference, but none the less it’s time to root for them like NO OTHER! Right now, the MAN, the LEGEND, the MOTHER EFFIN BEAST in goal has been ON FIRE.. and I want to pay homage to him in my blog, cause without you Tuuka, the Bruins would be sunk! In MUST WIN GAMES, Tuuka has been huge, beating the 9th and 10th place teams, only giving up 1 goal in 2 games. Can I just say WOW? Talk about a pressure goalie… keep it up baby!

Letting a friend go is never an easy thing to do, especially when you know it’s right but yet you still can’t help and feel it’s wrong. Knowing that I did the right thing will always make my decisions easier, but I can tell you that it doesn’t make the action any easier. Jonas, you are my friend and I hope you right your ship :)

Finally, I just want to say, that while most of us hate our jobs, as long as we love our life that’s all that matters. Having someone in your life that can make you smile on the drop of a hat, always make you feel good even about the worst situations and always be there for you is more valuable than any amount of money in the world, so props to you Andrea :)

Update v1.0

March 17th, 2010

Here we are, another edition in the life of Darryl, aka SYN! :D Today is my first of two days off from work, and it’s sooo exciting to be able to rest and relax for a few days :) There’s been a lot going on so lets DIGG right in! :)

Buddy’s birthday party was fun! My nephew turned 3 years old and it was good to see everyone! My brother, Chris, and his future wife, Ashley were in town, and while I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with them, it was still good to see them and talk, even if for a few minutes. I won’t lie, I’m pretty excited about their wedding that’s coming up, although I won’t let it on to anyone else. But back to Buddy (his name is Dan Jr but we call him Buddy) Andrea and I got him a T-Ball set, and it’s freakin awesome! It starts out as a T-Ball, but as you get older, it can actually pitch the ball to you to improve your hand to eye! Pretty sweet! I can’t wait to get him going on that this summer, and get him involved with sports.. it will be GREAT FUN! :)

Next up, I’ve officially taken my first step into a whole new world of online radio by doing a radio show about the game I play, Football Identity. for those of you who don’t know what it is, it’s simply a game based on “soccer” where you and 10 other teammates play against another team in a league style format. It’s a pretty cool game which I enjoy playing and cannot wait to get started on a radiop show for it, and it will be nice to get myself back on the airwaves. The show will be at 2PM EST, so a bit early for my American friends, but all the shows will be up for download after so you can play them on your PC or iPod. I’ll work out some sort of podcast so it can be automatic for those of you to lazy to download and sync to your iPods.

Speaking of iPods, mine has developed some interesting gray lines on it, which have made me very sad. Apparently this is a common problem, and I will have to take it in and get a new one, but it sucks none the less. Also, I’m in need of a new phone, but with all the rumors about an iPhone 4g for Verizon, I’m holding off on my droid for a bit to see if that does come out.

Still haven’t got a chance to see Alice in Wonderland, but the plans are to go see it this week. I’ve heard mixed reviews on it, so I’m pretty anxious to see if it’s good or bad. Speaking of movies, I’m really looking forward to seeing Clash of the Titans, it looks pretty sweet and I think it will be a fun one to see.

Lastly, it’s starting to get nice around here, which means obsession with my car and the motorcycle I want but have been told I cannot have yet, so look for a lot of talk about that. I’m getting my new rims and tires here very soon, and will post some pics of that as soon as they are up. I love summer, and I love bothering Andrea for car parts :)

I guess Blogging should be done daily…

If that’s the case, I fail. Miserably. Guess it’s time to fix this?! :D

So lets talk then and get life all caught up, for starters, I’m sick. :( My lovely GF doesn’t think that a common cold is enough of a reason for her to take off and come take care of me.. apparently she didn’t get the memo of what a baby I am. Or maybe she did and this is her way to telling me to MAN THE EFF UP! That’s probably what it is, but still I stick my tongue out at you ms “I have to go to work” Other than a cold, I’m feeling pretty good, I got to go see my niece and nephew, along with my other niece this week, and my Dad, which is basically the most people I’ve seen in 2 months, all in one week… yeah I’ve been a pretty shitty Brother, Uncle, Son and Friend lately but now that I’ve seriously decreased the amount of time I spend on the PC, I think this will solve that issue :)

Speaking of time I spend on the PC, I do still play a few games here and there, one of them being Football Identity (or FID) and our next season starts up this weekend! I’m quite pumped about this as it’s a pretty fun game. The concept of the game is simply to play football (or soccer as us americans call it) with 11 other people on a team… so theres a lot of teamwork involved and it makes for some interesting combination’s of people trying to get together for the main purpose of winning a football game. That being said, I was happy to win Goalkeeper of the Season awards last season for the entire league, and hopefully this season my team will win the league championship! WOOHOO!!

Lets move back to life shall we? Games are fun, but life is more fun (sometimes) and this weekend is going to be a SHITLOAD of fun, it’s my nephews birthday.. Buddy turns 3! You know, I’m pretty successful at buying my nieces and nephew presents.. for some reason I relate to kids very well and know just what they would want (probably because I play with the shit more than they do) but Madison and Buddy are coming to the age where I may start buying them not so cool presents… in exchange for SPORTS PRESENTS!! Like when I bought Madison a full size tennis racket for her 1st birthday (her mother doesn’t know it yet but she is going to be a tennis star) and now I think I’m going to get buddy his very first tee-ball set. (haha poor AJ) Hopefully I can go to the party, it’s on Saturday and I have to work, but I don’t know if I have to work OT until I get to work… awesome right?

Allright, I’m going to call Andrea back up and complain again in a worthless attempt to sucker her over here and feed me chicken soup… peace out planet earth!

Welcome to my World!!

HAHA WHADDUP!! What’s going on planet earth, Darryl “SyN” Kucmerowski here ready to give you all the LOW DOWN on what’s going on in my life. Never before have I attempted to do one of these, so bare with me while I figure this all out :) One thing is for certain, this blog should be fun. for the first time, I’ll try and combine my personal life and my online life together to get it all out into the open! :)

This theme though, yeah it’s effin ugly, so it HAS to go. Look for something sexier later on :D
